Percy welcomes a new blog to the world, launched just yesterday.  It's called "Carried Interest Taxation" and can be found — where else? — at http://www.carriedinteresttaxation.com.  The mission of the blog is to "track the debate and any developments regarding the taxation of carried interests."  This should save me some time.

The blog is written by a tax lawyer in Kilpatrick Stockton's Atlanta office.  It so happens that Kilpatrick Stockton also has offices in Charlotte, Raleigh and Winston-Salem, NC (but, oddly, not Greensboro).

Based on the two posts I've read so far, the blog is taking an objective look at the issue, explaining the terminology and proposals in a way that the masses can understand it.  For now I say it is neither friend nor foe.  Perhaps its author will serve as moderator when I begin challenging people to a debate over the proper tax treatment of carry.
