Anthropologists: Family More Important Than Flings
My own experience supports the findings of a group of anthropoligists that men have fewer affairs as they have more children. I've had no flings since my children were born. Of course, I have very young children and a very young wife. From the Telegraph:
Results of the research on the banks of the Maniqui River, published with Hillard Kaplan, Michael Gurven and Stacey Rucas in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, indicate that men have fewer affairs as they have more children, and more of a family to put at risk, while the wife's age has no effect on philandering. In other words, children are more important to fathers than having flings with younger women.
