Percy Buys a New Bed
My psychiatric team recommended that I buy a new bed to help with my clinophobia, or fear of going to bed. The team's hypothesis is that my clinophobia is driven by a fear that a person or creature is hiding under my bed. I told them that was crazy since I already station one of my security detail under my bed, but after a couple of peaceful nights' sleep I think they may have been right. Here's my new bed:

Repelling magnets keep it afloat. Cost: $1.5 million.

That's a really hot bed, Percy. But if you're afraid of persons or creatures hiding under your bed, wouldn't it be smarter to just put your mattress and box spring on the floor, so that there'd be no space underneath for them to hide? My recommendation costs $1.5 million less than your psych team's recommendation. Just curious: Are they working on some kind of commission?
Cara Michele's solution still doesn't preclude the possibility of a two-dimensional person or creature under the bed. And what could be scarier than that?
That IS fierce, Eric. And now I'M scared, too... Thanks.
I also have a fear of people with multiple body piercings. The magnets make it hard for them to sneak up on me while sleeping.
Is that where the magic happens?
Magnets are very good for restfull sleep. I use them as part of my therapy. Keeps the water in your body from turning to spaghetti.
