Breaking News: N&R Cartoon Caption Judges Ousted

*Updated below*

My sources tell me that the News & Record will have readers vote for the winning caption for this week's cartoon caption contest.  The paper is attempting to print all entries and is thus limiting each contestant to one.  Help me decide which of the following to make my official entry:

1.  "Whoa!  I haven't seen a horse take out a queen like that since the death of Catherine the Great."

2.  "I said, 'happy-headed horse.'  Sheesh, you black pieces are touchy."

3.  "Watch out, Your Highness, the split-headed bishop is ogling your (pick funniest) [dirty crumpie] [nappy canoe] [gutted hamster] [otter's pocket] [sweaty burrito].

I'll need your feedback by noon tomorrow.

Update:  Apparently the new rules go into effect next week, not this week.  My three entries above are all official.

I like 1 best, but 2 may get more votes. Will people get the Catherine the Great joke?

This is true. We're forced to limit people because many, many people are submitting so many it's as if they are spaghetti strands that are being tossed against a wall to see which sticks. As a businessman I hope you understand that I have to draw the line at three FTEs spending their time on the contest.

How hard can it be? I'll pick the winners for you. No FTEs. No cost.
