Greensboro to be Home of State's Sixth Largest Bank


My efforts to make Greensboro "Financial Capital of the World" continue to bear fruit:
FNB Southeast and Lexington State Bank have agreed to a "merger of equals" that would create the sixth-largest bank in the state when measured by market capitalization, the banks announced at a press conference Tuesday morning. The combined bank will be headquartered in Greensboro and a new name will be selected, bank officials said.
