Percy Attacks Local Bloggers

Greensboro bloggers are in an uproar because a City Council member defied her fellow Council members by refusing to participate in an office selection scheme that didn't ensure she would receive a corner office.  (Details here.)  I admire Councilwoman Bellamy-Small's spirit and courage.  I've always said, "Take first; there will be plenty of time later to apologize or explain that you didn't understand you were violating any laws."  Personally, I don't see how a person can work in an office that doesn't have views in all four directions.  Councilwoman BS merely wanted an office with views in two directions.

Instead of praising her tenacity, the Greensboro blogging elite have gone into full-attack mode.  To wit:
  1. David Hoggard: "Petty, childlike, immature, and…. Small.  She should take her ball and go home."
  2. Sue Polinsky:  "I was flabbergasted and embarrassed by this behavior." [Update: Sue Polinsky claims in the comments section that the stricken words were not hers.  While I investigate her claim, here's a new quote attributable to Sue: "I think her last last name fits appropriately." [Note:  This sounds pejorative, but I need to look up "Bellamy-Small" in the dictionary to be sure.]
  3. Ed Cone: "Councilwoman Bellamy-Small corners the market on petty office politics."
Councilwoman BS is a motivational speaker.  I'm sure she'll be able to use her powerful motivational skills to bring Greensboro bloggers and the rest of City Council around on this issue.

Actually, I didn't say that. Sandy Carmany did and I didn't do a good enough job indicating that they were her words.

        "Vicious" can be fun...

LOL LOL Percy Darlin' I much enjoyed your tongue-in-cheek subtle humor. Of course it flew right past those it was aimed at, but that's okay. After all, you had the tee-hee-hee fun of posting it to see what response you would get. BB

Maybe Mr. Powers and his 5 + billion in assets is used to getting his way. But a public servant who leaks confidential reports, fails to appear at the meeting when busted, lies about it, and then doesn't own up to it is certainly not in position to make such demands, and should consider it a privilege to remain on the council.
