Percy Asks John Edwards a Couple of Questions

I'd like to see a North Carolinian elected President of the United States — is that so wrong? — but I have to confess that the populism talk I'm hearing from John Edwards sometimes drives me a bit nuts.
There is one populist position, however, that I can get behind, and I'd like to hear what John Edwards has to say about it. I believe that it is unfair to the poor, middle class and barely rich for the S.E.C. to promulgate regulations prohibiting individuals from investing directly in hedge funds unless they own $2.5 million in investments. In my opinion, these investment vehicles should be open to anyone that a hedge fund manager is willing to accept as an investor, irrespective of his or her net worth. As this issue is currently before the S.E.C., I'd like to hear John Edwards take on it.
I'd also like to hear more generally about John Edwards views on hedge fund regulation. Isn't our current regulatory scheme enough, if not overdoing it a bit?
I invite Senator Edwards and his staff to read my own position on hedge fund regulation as well as Sebastion Mallaby's outstanding article on hedge funds before responding. This is one of the most important issues of the day and I honestly have no idea what North Carolina's best chance of having one of its own in the White House in the next two years has to say on the issue.

Nobu making puppy dog eyes at her, and the knowledge of his feelings for her might have helped her along, and given her the strength to end things with Takumi. Sort of.
