Percy on the Issues: War on Christmas
When someone says to me, "Happy Holidays," my initial reaction is, "What, do I look like a Jew?" I'm sure if I were darker-complected I'd wonder if the speaker thought I was Hindu, Muslim or Buddhist.
The problem with wishing someone "Happy Holidays" is that you are basically telling them they look non-Christian, which is offensive to Christians and non-Christians alike.
I say: Be sensitive: Wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
